You’re here.
Maybe you’re uncertain about therapy or how it could even help. Still, something inside of you knows there’s more to life: more purpose, more connection, more ease. You have tried to get there independently, but the path has only taken you so far.
Therapy can be the turning point – a space to slow down, reflect, and uncover the patterns, experiences, and beliefs that have shaped your journey. More importantly, you should discover the tools that will carry you forward.
At first, therapy may feel unfamiliar, like something being done to you rather than for you. But over time, you may see it differently: not as a sign of weakness, but as an act of self-respect.
You are making a quiet, powerful commitment to your healing. This space is entirely yours for reflection, clarity, and growth.
I offer therapy at your convenience.
Imagine therapy in the comfort of your own home. Online therapy offers an opportunity to reconnect with yourself. It’s not about fixing what’s broken or becoming someone new, but about reconnecting with the wisdom and resilience already within you.
Together, we’ll identify the barriers holding you back and build the insight and skills to move through life with greater clarity, confidence, and self-trust.
This work is not always easy, but it is profoundly transformative and empowering. You’ll learn to face discomfort, adapt to change, and believe in your capacity to navigate whatever life brings – on your terms.
You have already accomplished the most challenging part by recognizing it is time for change. I’m here to help you take the next step so you can start moving forward with confidence.
About Haley Kutner, Ph.D.
Therapy is not something to be ashamed of.
It’s a powerful expression of self-respect, a commitment to your growth, healing, and well-being.
I’ve been deeply drawn to understanding the human experience for as long as I can remember. Even before formal training, I recognized the importance of helping others feel seen, heard, and valued. Those who know me often say I was “born a therapist” – and in many ways, that rings true.
As a clinical psychologist, I believe everyone carries something uniquely important. My role is to help you uncover your truth, make sense of your experiences, and reconnect with the strengths that have always been within you. I offer a space of respect, curiosity, and nonjudgment where your story matters and your goals are honored.
Together, we can explore what’s been getting in the way and help you move toward the life you want to live – with greater clarity, compassion, and connection to yourself.
Here’s a little about my clinical training.
Originally from New Jersey, I spent nearly a decade practicing in Richmond, Virginia, before making Chapel Hill my home. My clinical experience spans a wide range of settings, including medical hospitals, intensive care units, outpatient clinics, and private practice, where I worked with children, adolescents, and adults across the lifespan.
I earned my doctorate in philosophy from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, with specialized training in clinical health psychology and neuropsychology. Before entering private practice, I served as a Duke University Medical Center faculty member, providing psychological care at Duke Raleigh Hospital in emergency and medical settings.
These diverse and rigorous training experiences have equipped me to offer thoughtful, personalized, and evidence-based care tailored to the unique needs of each individual I work with. As a lifelong learner, I believe in continuing education and training in up-to-date treatment approaches. Therefore, in addition to Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, I have received additional training in Internal Family Systems, EMDR, Clinical Hypnosis, and Perinatal Mental Health.
Life outside of work is fulfilling.
Outside of my clinical work, I remain active and grounded through the things I’ve always loved. As a former collegiate tennis player, I still find joy (and a sense of youth) on the court.
I’ve also long been drawn to the arts, earning my undergraduate degree in art history, and now enjoy sharing creative moments with my children, often through their eyes more than my own.
I’m deeply connected to my family and value our time together. These personal passions and relationships continue to shape how I present myself in my life and work with others.
